Erected in 1956 as a warehouse, 90 Sumach became the design centre for the beginning of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s television era. For decades the CBC’s archives, studios, rehearsal spaces and workshops thrived here.

Respected artists such as Glenn Gould, Jim Henson and Lorne Michaels once worked within these walls. Though 90 Sumach was converted to live/work lofts in the late 1990’s, it is still home to a diverse range of artists, designers and other creative professionals.

The building is also known as the “Brewery Lofts”, due to the developer’s original purchase of the surrounding Dominion building complex, which was originally part of an 1800’s era brewery.

A beautiful common roof garden enjoys a spectacular west-facing view of the Toronto skyline. Two natural gas BBQ’s are available to all residents on the roof.

Our newly refurbished Amenity Room is a great place for residents to hold community events and also a place to join in on the group fitness classes held there. The 90 Sumach crowd is tightly knit, where neighbors get to know each other and enjoy a great sense of community.

There is a fenced dog run opposite the parking garage entry which is enjoyed by many of the building’s pet owners.

To the immediate north there is the historic Nelson Mandela public school, which is undergoing a complete renovation. The entire Regent Park community is being rebuilt into a beautiful neighbourhood – which now is home to the brand new, $15 million Regent Park Aquatic Centre.

It also  walking distance to the vibrant Distillery District area.
