Art Condos is an award-winning 11-storey boutique condo that is recognized as one of Toronto’s most innovative buildings.

3rd Uncle, the design team behind über-cool The Drake hotel around the corner, has created a gallery-like echo of the artistic spirit of still-funky West Queen West in condo form. True story.

Here, open concept suites run from studio to 2-bedroom plus den and have loft-like details including exposed concrete ceilings, 4-inch baseboards, large windows and Euro-inspired kitchens. Unlike some boutique loft condos for sale in Queen West, Art Condos also offers a great selection of amenities. The usual fitness centre, boardroom, security and parking, is on offer, but there is also a really cool resident’s lounge with wall-mounted iPod docks and a large screen TV you can control via an app on your mobile device. Outside is an impressive deck with an outdoor kitchen, fire pit and hot tub. Seating areas on the patio are surrounded by tall grasses and can be reserved for your private get-togethers.

In an area that has seen an explosion of redevelopment in recent years, Art Condos is a development that respects and reflects the neighbourhood’s industrial and artistic past and is devoted to being part of the community’s future.

Most Notable Features

The Art: Obvious, right? But it’s more than just marketing hype. Living with art is the inspiration behind these downtown Toronto condos. From the gallery-inspired live/work spaces on the main floor, to the revolving art displays on screens and walls throughout the building, to the mural and mosaic art on the exterior, Art Condos is living it’s mission. Even the loading dock transforms into art at night with a lightshow that begins at sunset.

Ecological Efficiency: Art Condos has an expansive green roof and was also the first development in Toronto to offer charging stations for electric vehicles right in the parking garage.

Suite Flexibility: The building houses a combination of the live/work suites, two-level Skyloft townhouses with separate entrances and outdoor terraces and single floor suits with sliding wall dividers. All are designed with an artsy modern feel and include high-end finishes plus bonus extras like projector mounts in the ceilings, built-in refrigerators and window blinds in every unit so the building has a consistent look from the outside.
